Detailed introduction to Bitget rToken (rT)

During U.S. market hours—including the regular session, pre-market, after-hours, and overnight sessions—spot orders for rT are routed directly through a broker to the Nasdaq or NYSE order book. Once the trade is executed on the U.S. stock market, the execution result is reflected in the on-exchange spot order record. Any order you place for rT while the U.S. market is open will also appear on the Nasdaq or NYSE order book. This means that during U.S. market hours, the trading price and liquidity of rT are exactly the same as those of the underlying stock. Orders for rT and their execution results are part of the U.S. stock market. There is no spread or so-called de-pegging, because rT trades are executed directly on the U.S. stock market itself. The execution price you see for rT is identical to the stock's price at that exact moment.

This makes rT fundamentally different from traditional RWA tokens. The price of a traditional RWA asset is determined by on-chain liquidity and trading activity, whereas the price of rT is directly equivalent to the stock price—it does not rely on any other mechanism to peg the asset's price. In terms of trading outcomes, trading rT is no different from trading the stock directly.
