Mina Foundation names Kurt Hemecker CEO
Reported that Mina Foundation, a non-profit organization providing services for zero-knowledge (ZK) blockchain Mina protocol, announced that its board of directors has appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kurt Hemecker as the company's CEO, while founder Evan Shapiro continues to serve as chairman and advisor to the board of the foundation.
After taking on the role of CEO, Hemecker brings over 20 years of experience as a major participant in both Web2 and Web3. Prior to serving as COO of the Mina Foundation, Hemecker held senior leadership positions at Diem Association (formerly known as Libra) and PayPal. Utilizing his business development and strategic partnership expertise, he will advocate for the adoption of Mina's zero-knowledge technology in multiple verticals and industries.
