OpenAI and The Wall Street Journal's Parent Company News Corp Reach Cooperation Agreement, Total Value May Exceed $250 Million
PANews reported on May 23 that News Corp, the parent company of The Wall Street Journal, announced an agreement with OpenAI, allowing OpenAI to use content from dozens of News Corp's publications in its products. As part of the agreement, OpenAI's services will be able to display news from media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch. According to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, the agreement is for a period of five years and could be worth more than $250 million. Additionally, OpenAI has reached collaborations with several well-known media companies in the US and Europe in recent weeks, including the Financial Times, Dotdash Meredith, and social media company Reddit.
