Securitize CEO calls for clearer digital asset regulation at U.S. House Financial Services hearing
Golden Finance reported that Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, testified at a hearing of the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee's Digital Asset, Financial Technology and Inclusive Subcommittee, calling for clearer regulation of digital assets and expanding the privileges of special purpose broker-dealers (SPBDs) handling digital assets to prevent the US from falling behind Europe. Domingo stated that legislators must provide clearer definitions for digital assets and tokenized securities, distinguishing them from other digital assets. He also stated that both public and permissionless blockchains, as well as private and permissioned blockchains, must be able to support tokenized securities.
