Circle CEO: USDC Tap-to-Pay Feature on iPhone May Come Soon

Following Apple's decision to open up the iPhone's NFC payment capabilities to third-party developers, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire predicted that tap-to-pay functionality on the iPhone using Circle's USDC stablecoin will be coming “soon! “. However, he later clarified that Circle has no relationship with Apple, nor with ApplePay, explaining that Apple's move to open up NFC will enable Web3 and crypto wallets to “invoke NFC for transactions.”
