The 201st Ethereum ACDE Conference: EIP 7691 confirmed to be included in the Pectra upgrade
Galaxy Research Vice President Christine Kim summarized the key points of the 201st Ethereum Core Developer Execution (ACDE) conference call:
Formally confirmed that Pectra is included in EIP 7691, which will double blob capacity;
The cost-increasing calldata EIP 7623 was also included;
EIP 7762, which increases the minimum blob base fee, was not included (more discussion may be held on this at the next ACD);
Stopping to provide pre-merger historical records of EIP 7639 and limiting transaction gas of EIP 5-4803 might be related to Pectra and need further discussion (the former is a pure network change, while the latter is a retrospective EIP that won't change existing client behavior).
In addition, two weeks ago, there were major issues with Mekong testnet based on Pectra Devnet 4 specifications causing all client teams to release fixes. Mekong has now stabilized and developers are focusing on launching Devnet 5. Developers will discuss the schedule for Devnet 5 and 6 at next Monday's Pectra test conference call.
