U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent hires Galaxy Digital consultant for advice on cryptocurrency

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has appointed Tyler Williams of Galaxy Digital as an advisor on digital assets and blockchain policy. Williams previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and worked in financial regulation in both the Senate and House of Representatives. This appointment comes at a time when the Treasury Department and Commerce Department are jointly working to create a sovereign wealth fund, which may include digital assets.
