A trader loses $2.788 million in 2 days trading BTC and ETH with high leverage on Hyperliquid
According to on-chain analyst Ember's monitoring, a trader lost $2.788 million in two days through three high-leverage trades on the Hyperliquid platform. The specific operations included:
Shorting 41,851 ETH with 25x leverage, with a position value of approximately $103 million, resulting in a loss of $2.46 million;
Then going long on 166 Bitcoins with 40x leverage, with a position value of $17.6 million, losing $175,000 in 45 minutes;
Finally, shorting 2,636 ETH at a price of $2,444 with 25x leverage, leading to a stop-loss due to a downward shift in the liquidation price caused by adding to the position.
The trader initially invested 2.96 million USDC, ultimately leaving only 172,000 USDC.
