Chainlink Activates CCIP on Solana, Expands Multichain Integration
- Chainlink CCIP connects Solana to Ethereum and BNB Chain
- Solana receives tokens via Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard
- Liquidity grows with US$19 billion ready to migrate
The Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) has officially gone live on Solana, expanding the ability to integrate between different blockchains with a focus on security and performance. This direct connection between networks like Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain allows projects to move data and assets without the need for intermediaries.
Recognized for its speed and low fees, Solana now features CCIP’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, which ensures secure transfer of tokens between chains. The protocol is being adopted by initiatives such as Shiba Inu, Maple Finance and Solv, which are now using the infrastructure to expand the presence of assets such as syrupUSD in the Solana ecosystem.
Maple Finance, for example, has already started using CCIP to issue syrupUSD, a stablecoin, leveraging Solana’s high-performance network with a focus on institutional investors. CCIP has already protected around $75 billion in value in DeFi and enabled transactions totaling $20 trillion since its inception.

With version 1.6 of the protocol, CCIP brings improvements in cost and scalability, facilitating integration with hundreds of networks. Tools such as Interport and Transporter have adopted the technology, demonstrating enthusiasm from the developer community for the cross-chain interoperability capabilities that Solana now offers.
Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, called the integration a “crucial milestone” and highlighted Solana’s active ecosystem as ideal for innovative applications. ElizaOS has already begun utilizing the protocol to enable autonomous AI agents to transact across chains.
Furthermore, the integration with CCIP favors the expansion of the tokenized real assets (RWAs) market. With approximately US$19 billion in tokens ready to be transferred via CCIP to Solana, the expectation is for a significant increase in liquidity and institutional participation in the network.
