Solana Mobile to Launch Seeker with $SKR Token and Revamped Dapp Store
- Solana Mobile launches Seeker smartphone with a focus on cryptocurrencies
- SKR Token Will Be the Foundation of Solana’s Decentralized Ecosystem
- New TEEPIN infrastructure promises more security and freedom
Solana Mobile has confirmed that its second-generation Seeker smartphone will begin shipping globally starting August 4. The device marks a new step in the company’s development by integrating a native token, SKR, exclusively for its ecosystem of cryptocurrency-enabled devices.
More accessible than its predecessor, Seeker operates on the Android system, maintaining the Seed Vault, the genesis token and adding tools such as the SeedVault Wallet, SeekerID and a Solana Dapp Store with significant improvements.
According to Emmett Hollyer, general manager of Solana Mobile, the project focuses on usability and security. He emphasizes that the new SKR token is essential for the creation of a decentralized mobile platform. “We want to ensure that decisions are aligned with the goals of the mobile ecosystem,” he highlighted.

Unlike traditional SOL, SKR will have a specific role within the mobile environment. The token will be distributed directly to users and developers who contribute to the network’s construction, although full details have not yet been revealed.
Seeker comes with a new infrastructure called TEEPIN, which enables secure interactions without central intermediaries. The three-layer architecture allows actions to be validated through cryptography instead of single authorities, ensuring transparency and on-chain control.
Anatoly Yakovenko, CEO of Solana Labs, said that this framework “unlocks open innovation and a decentralized future for mobile devices,” highlighting the use of secure hardware present in today’s smartphones as a pillar of the initiative.
With over 150 units already reserved, Seeker is available for pre-order at a promotional price of $500 plus tax. The price is half the price of the original Saga, which launched in 2023, with improvements aimed at developers and crypto enthusiasts looking to participate in the new mobile economy.
