Circuit & Chisel completes $19.2 million financing to develop AI agent payment protocol
ChainCatcher news, according to Fortune Magazine, former Stripe Head of Crypto and AI Partnerships Louis Amira and former Stripe Head of Crypto Engineering David Noël-Romas have completed a $19.2 million financing round for their new startup Circuit & Chisel, which will be used to develop the AI agent payment protocol ATXP.
In addition to its Stripe background (and financial backing), Circuit & Chisel has also received investment from Primary Venture Partners, ParaFi, and a certain exchange's Ventures. The ATXP protocol is designed as an "HTTP protocol for AI agent payments," aiming to address the current lack of standardized communication protocols between AI agents. Amira stated that if ATXP succeeds, it will enable the field of microtransactions. Under this scheme, agents can autonomously obtain information and have the authority to pay small fees, such as scraping information from private LinkedIn profiles or accessing paid Fortune Magazine articles, while these platforms also have the right to charge small fees.
