US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce Calls for Accelerated Transformation of Crypto Regulation
Jinse Finance reported that Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), nicknamed "Crypto Mom," stated at the Coin Center dinner that regulators have entered a new, more crypto-friendly phase and apologized for the overly harsh approach in the past. She called for the industry to be advanced as soon as possible, mentioning that the SEC has established a crypto special task force in the past year, withdrawn several cases, and launched "Project Crypto" to update relevant regulations. Peirce also humorously proposed the issuance of an NFT series called "Dog's Breakfast" in her speech, satirizing and depicting various roles within the crypto community.
