SK Hynix, a supplier to Nvidia, posts over fivefold increase in Q1 profit, in line with market expectations

SK Hynix stated in a declaration: “As AI evolves from the large model training stage to the 'agent AI' stage (that is, real-time reasoning is repeatedly performed in various service environments), the demand base for both DRAM and NAND flash memory continues to expand.” This NVIDIA supplier reported operating profit of 37.6 trillion won (about 25.42 billion USD) during January-March this year, compared to only 7.4 trillion won in the same period last year. This figure matches the LSEG SmartEstimate forecast of 37.9 trillion won, which mainly references analysts with long-standing accurate records. Quarterly revenue increased by 198% year-on-year, reaching 52.6 trillion won.
