Livepeer announces upcoming AI subnet
Video streaming platform Livepeer announced the launch of a decentralized video processing network with AI computing capabilities called Livepeer AI Subnet. This subnet will be built on Livepeer's decentralized video processing network architecture, providing globally accessible open video infrastructure, and scalable through blockchain-based token economics incentives. Livepeer AI Subnet also allows Livepeer Orchestrator node operators to earn ETH and LPT income by deploying GPU resources for AI processing tasks. Livepeer's AI subnet will be launched in three stages, with the first stage completed and currently being optimized. Livepeer expects to launch the mainnet in the third quarter of 2024.
