On June 1st, financial technology company Triple A released a report titled "The State of Global Cryptocurrency Ownership in 2024", which delves into the global trends of cryptocurrency ownership and its evolving role in the financial ecosystem.

Eric Barbier, founder and CEO of Triple A, wrote in the report's preface: "Today, 562 million people worldwide own some form of digital currency, up from 420 million in 2023. In other words, 6.8% of the world's population owns and uses digital currency." The report notes that Asia is leading this trend, with the number of people owning cryptocurrency increasing from 268.2 million to 326.8 million, a growth of 21.8%. North America follows closely behind, with ownership increasing from 52.1 million to 72.2 million, a growth of 38.6%.
