Data: 26,000 BTC Options and 165,000 ETH Options Set to Expire, BTC Options Max Pain at $94,000
According to ChainCatcher, data from Greeks.live analyst Adam shows that on May 9, there were 26,000 BTC options and 165,000 ETH options expiring, with a nominal value of $2.67 billion and $360 million, respectively. The maximum pain point for BTC options is $94,000, with a Put Call Ratio of 1.05; for ETH options, the maximum pain point is $1,850, with a Put Call Ratio of 1.42.
Recently, BTC and ETH have strongly rebounded, with Bitcoin surpassing $100,000 and Ethereum rising 20% in a single day to over $2,200. The implied volatility (IV) and realized volatility (RV) for BTC's main terms remain around 45%; due to the sharp rebound, ETH's short-term IV has exceeded 100%. This delivery volume is less than 10% of the total open interest, with a large number of previous put options expiring worthless, market sentiment has turned optimistic, and the proportion of call options expiring in June has significantly increased.
