Galaxy Digital Appoints Matt Friedrich as Chief Legal Officer
According to Jinse Finance, Galaxy Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: GLXY) (Toronto Stock Exchange: GLXY) announced today that Matt Friedrich will join the company as Chief Legal Officer, effective September 8. Friedrich will be responsible for Galaxy Digital’s global legal and compliance affairs, including regulatory engagement, corporate governance, litigation, and public policy. He will report directly to CEO and founder Mike Novogratz and become a key member of Galaxy Digital’s senior leadership team. Prior to joining Galaxy Digital, Friedrich held several senior in-house legal positions. He served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Cognizant Technology Solutions, overseeing global legal, compliance, and government affairs; and as Chief Corporate Counsel at Chevron. He was also a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Boies, Schiller & Flexner, representing multinational corporations in cross-border investigations, litigation, and compliance matters. Early in his career, Friedrich was a federal prosecutor, serving 13 years at the U.S. Department of Justice, where his final public service role was Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division.
