Shenyu: iPhone 17's adoption of MIE hardware-level "memory safety" technology will help enhance the security of wallet signatures and Passkeys.
According to Jinse Finance, Cobo & F2pool co-founder Shenyu (DiscusFish) stated that the iPhone 17 will adopt MIE hardware-level "memory safety" technology, with the system enabling EMTE real-time verification by default, which can intercept out-of-bounds and UAF 0-day attack chains, reducing side-channel risks. Statistics show that memory safety vulnerabilities account for 70% of all software vulnerabilities. This upgrade will help enhance the security of wallet signatures and Passkeys.
