This year, 84.7% of the 118 TGEs have fallen below their initial price, with a median drop of 71%.
According to Odaily, Ash Liew, founder of Memento Research and Head of Investments at Signum Capital, posted on X that the firm has tracked 118 TGEs (Token Generation Events) scheduled for 2025, comparing their current FDV with their valuation at the time of issuance.
The results show that 84.7% (100 out of 118) of the projects currently have an FDV lower than their valuation at TGE, which means that about 4 out of every 5 projects experience a price drop after listing; the median drop for those that fall below issue price is a 71% decrease in FDV (or a 67% decrease if calculated by MC); only 15% of tokens remain above their TGE price.
