The Nasdaq 100 Index preliminarily closed down 0.8%. Among its components, Micron Technology fell 9.6%, Western Digital dropped 8.5%, Marvell Technology, Lam Research, Arm Holdings, and MPWR declined by up to 7.4%. Zscaler rose 2.8%, Intuit gained 2.9%, Workday increased by 2.5%, Palo Alto Networks (PANW) climbed 4.9%, and Insmed rose 5.9%.Salesforce preliminarily closed up 3.1%, leading the Dow Jones index components. Travelers Companies Inc. and Disney both gained more than 2%, American Express rose 1.9%. Boeing, NVIDIA, and Merck each fell by up to 1.5%. Cisco dropped 3.4% and Caterpillar declined 3.8%. The Semiconductor Index fell 4.2%.
