Becton Dickinson Reaches 50% Enrollment in Breast Surgery Trial

(BDX) said Thursday that its clinical study evaluating GalaFLEX LITE Scaffold in breast revision surgery for capsular contracture has treated 274 patients across 33 active US states. The total number shows over 50% of planned enrollment and has triggered the first planned interim analysis, the medical technology company said. The trial evaluates the bioabsorbable device for treating capsular contracture, a complication where scar tissue hardens around implants, the company said. Shares of the company were down less than 1% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
