Ready-to-Drink Rising for Brown-Forman -- WSJ

Americans are buying fewer bottles of liquor these days, but Brown-Forman says it is seeing momentum in cans.
The Jack Daniel's maker said ready-to-drink cocktails helped offset a slowdown in tequila and declining sales of used barrels in its most recent quarter. Chief Executive Lawson Whiting said it saw encouraging results for its el Jimador spritz, which Whiting told analysts had a strong start in the U.S. Shares of Brown-Forman were up 4% after quarterly results beat analysts' expectations, amid a struggling alcohol market in the U.S.
