(1) Australia's trade surplus in goods for July was AUD 1.9 billion (approximately USD 1.36 billion), lower than June's revised AUD 2.3 billion, but higher than the market's expectation of AUD 1.45 billion. (2) Exports decreased 3.3% month-on-month, mainly due to a 26% drop in non-monetary gold exports following a significant surge in June, as well as declines in coal and iron ore exports. (3) Imports fell 2.5% month-on-month, primarily because of a 12% decrease in fuel imports, while demand for automobiles and data center equipment imports remained strong.
