05:53 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing Company (BA) has paid a $3.1 million fine to the US Federal Aviation Administration over safety violations, including those related to the 2024 Alaska Airlines MAX 9 blow-out of a door plug, Reuters reported, citing the regulator. The fine was also related to Boeing's alleged interference in safety officials' independence and the company's presentation of two aircraft that were not airworthy, the report said. Boeing and the FAA did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
