Greece plans to launch a 2.2 billion euro economic support package in 2027.

Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis recently unveiled an economic support package with a total scale of 2.2 billion euros, scheduled to be implemented in 2027, aiming to ease the current cost-of-living pressures in the country. The newly announced policies prioritize groups such as self-employed workers, pensioners, agricultural workers, and families with multiple children, and also include measures to raise the minimum wage standard. According to official Greek forecasts, the actual performance of the country's 2026 fiscal budget will exceed previously set target goals. This gives the government sufficient fiscal space to grant subsidies and implement tax reduction policies for various groups, while the related measures will not adversely affect Greece’s fiscal health.
