05:50 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Muse partnerships and the recent stock movement in the second and fifth paragraphs, respectively.) Meta Platforms (META) said Thursday it plans to release its new Meta VR Glasses in spring 2027 for $1,299.99 and expand its artificial intelligence eyewear lineup. The company said it will add Muse AI agent capabilities to the glasses in the future for hands-free control, and it will expand partnerships with companies like Walmart (WMT), Best Buy (BBY), Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS), Gap (GAP), Wayfair (W), Microsoft's (MSFT) GitHub, and PayPal (PYPL) for payments, among others. The upcoming virtual reality headset includes micro-OLED screens and allows users to create multi-panel virtual displays, Meta said. It also features a separate battery and processor unit that can be clipped to a belt, pocket or bag, according to Meta. The company also expects to offer more than 100 styles of smart glasses by the end of the year, it added. Shares of the company were down over 2% in Thursday premarket activity.

Korean retail investors shift to the US in Q3: Sold over 5.5 trillion won of Korean stocks, purchased more than 10 trillion won of US stocks

In the third quarter, Korean retail investors made net purchases of US stocks worth approximately 10.15 trillion won, marking a complete reversal from the previous pattern in the first half of the year, when they made net purchases of nearly 100 trillion won in KOSPI stocks. In September alone, the sell-off amount reached as high as 14.2 trillion won. Analysts attribute this shift to a combination of factors: a sharp decline in KOSPI at high levels, the continued strength of the US stock market driven by AI themes, and the appreciation of the Korean won reducing currency exchange costs.
