0G Private Computer Passes 400 Billion Tokens as Compute Finance Goes Live
SINGAPORE, October 5, 2026 - Between September 21 and September 29, 0G rolled out a run of launches built around what it calls Compute Finance. w0G expanded to Ethereum, Solana, Base and Robinhood Chain, the 0G Hub went live, the Comfy agent and token launchpad opened, and public minting began for Infinite AI (iAI), a compute-focused digital asset in the 0G ecosystem.
Over the same weeks, 0G Private Computer, a platform for private, verifiable AI, passed 400 billion tokens of AI inference. As of October 5, it had served more than 30 million inference requests from over 45,000 unique users across more than 100 models, according to its public stats page.
Compute Finance goes live
Access to Private Computer is moving beyond a monthly bill. Compute credits can be accessed through products in the 0G ecosystem, including Ascend, 0G's liquid staking product, and Infinite AI (iAI), a compute-focused digital asset. Credits are intended solely for eligible AI services, are not cash, and are subject to applicable product terms and policies.
Users stake 0G through Ascend and receive a0G, use a0G to mint iAI, then stake eligible iAI. Under the initial parameters, eligible staked iAI is designed to receive compute credits with a stated usage value of more than $1 per day across supported 0G AI services, with credit amounts, eligibility, availability and supported uses subject to applicable product terms of service and policies, which are subject to change.
Public minting opened on iai.finance on September 29 at 09:00 UTC. Seven hours in, more than 3,800 iAI had been minted by the public, according to figures 0G published that day, and onchain data shows 667 wallets minted in that first stretch. Minting iAI is designed to lock the underlying collateral, with burning providing a mechanism to unlock it, subject to applicable product terms.
Activity across the ecosystem
On September 28, the Comfy agent and token launchpad opened in the 0G ecosystem. Users can launch a token on 0G there with zero gas fees, and more than 170 launches went live in its first 24 hours, based on onchain data.
Decentralized exchanges on 0G recorded about $3.9 million in volume on September 29, an all-time daily high per DefiLlama.
The case for a trust layer
On 0G Private Computer, the verified tier is designed so each response can be checked against the model that was requested, and the private tier runs models inside TEE enclaves that publish hardware attestations anyone can check. The platform had produced more than 27 million TEE attestation proofs as of October 5.
At Korea Blockchain Week, Michael Heinrich, Co-Founder and CEO of 0G, took the 0G Stage on September 30 to argue that a trillion-dollar agentic economy will need a trust layer for AI. On October 1, he joined a roundtable at HSC Seoul on the same theme and spoke at House of AI Seoul that evening.
"'Just trust me, I've aligned the AI' is not a security model," Heinrich said. If an agent is spending your money, he argued, you should be able to verify what it ran for yourself.
One page to get started
The 0G Hub, live since September 22, gives users one page to bridge in from major networks, swap on 0G and find apps to try.
0G held 0G Dev Day in Singapore on October 5.
About 0G
0G is the trust layer for AI and a frontier AI lab. It trains its own foundation models, including the 0GM series, and builds the harness, safety, and verification layers around them. Its stack combines these with private compute, encrypted storage, and an AI-native EVM L1 chain, designed to enable AI work, from inference to agent actions, to be verified and audited.

Bank of America strategists believe that as the market has already heavily bet on the sustained growth of AI-related capital expenditures and the investment logic of discretionary consumer spending being under pressure, it may become increasingly difficult for investors to achieve excess returns in the future by "going long on stocks benefiting from AI capital expenditure and avoiding stocks related to white-collar consumption."
Updated Version 4 - Mattel Investor Ariel Urges Sale Amid Stalled Turnaround
Ariel Investments holds a 5.4% stake in Mattel and believes the stock remains severely undervalued. Mattel stated it will take into account the opinions of Ariel and other shareholders. According to sources, Authentic Brands Group approached Mattel last week, with a potential valuation of around $6 billion. Analyst comments and a chart were added in paragraph 10. Juveria Tabassum/Angela Christy M Reuters, October 5 – A letter obtained by Reuters shows that a major shareholder of Mattel (MAT.O) on Monday urged the Barbie-maker to explore a sale, citing stagnant growth in performance and profitability. Ariel Investments, holding a 5.4% stake in Mattel, stated that the company’s stock is still severely undervalued. “We believe that strategic buyers would be willing to acquire your company at a price significantly above the current share price,” Ariel Co-CEO John Rogers wrote in a letter to Mattel’s board. The asset management firm suggested Mattel's options include “divesting significant assets, mergers, and/or an outright sale of the company.” Ariel believes other toy companies may be interested in Mattel’s asset portfolio, as well as entertainment firms and traditional private equity companies. In recent years, despite Mattel’s stabilizing business and the box-office success of the Barbie movie, the company has faced fluctuating sales and rising input costs. Operating profit has declined for six consecutive quarters. In after-hours trading, Mattel's shares rose 0.9% to $16.20. Ariel’s initiative comes as Mattel undergoes leadership changes (link). CEO Ynon Kreiz stepped down last month to become Co-CEO of Paramount Skydance (PSKY.O), while board member Roger Lynch—former editor-in-chief of Vogue and head of Condé Nast, parent company of The New Yorker—will assume the CEO role next month. Mattel replied to Reuters by email: “Our board and management team are committed to acting in the best interests of all shareholders, and will consider the views expressed in the letter from Ariel Investments, as well as those of other Mattel shareholders.” This is the second time this year investors have asked Mattel to consider strategic options. In May, Mattel investor Southeastern Asset Management called for the company to explore various options (link), including privatization, acquisition by competitor Hasbro (HAS.O), or by a major media company that could value Mattel’s assets more fairly than the public market. Last week, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters that Authentic Brands Group (AUTH.N) approached Mattel about a potential acquisition (link), which could value the toymaker at about $6 billion or higher. The source noted that there is no guarantee Mattel will accept Authentic Brands’ proposal, and the company is not conducting a formal sale process at this time. Following the news, Mattel’s share price soared. Despite the rebound, the stock remains down about 20% year-to-date. According to London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) data, Mattel’s 12-month forward price-to-earnings ratio stands at 9.99, compared to an industry average of 14.03. “I think this just reflects the market’s frustration about the business possibly being a bit stagnant. Given the current level of valuation, now may be a good time to turn around the business away from the spotlight of investors,” said Morningstar analyst Jaime Katz. 42% premium, five years to break even with capital cost, Schneider Electric sets record with $23 billion acquisition of PTC, stock price plunges
Schneider Electric’s acquisition of industrial software company PTC marks the latest move by European industrial companies to accelerate their bets on AI. While the strategic rationale is acknowledged by analysts, the financial cost of the deal is heavy. PTC is expected to generate only about $1.5 billion in operating profit by 2031, and the anticipated cost savings to be realized three years from now will only contribute an additional $280 million.
