According to Jinse Finance, Palantir (PLTR.US) announced on Monday a new agreement with cloud custodial service provider Knox Systems to deliver software solutions to the U.S. federal government via the cloud. In a joint statement, the two companies noted that Knox currently supports over 100 software and artificial intelligence (AI) applications within federal government environments. Through this collaboration with Palantir, the deployment speed of mission-critical software in the U.S. Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and IL5 environments will be increased. The financial terms of this deal were not disclosed by either party.
Palantir executive Kevin Kawasaki stated: "The mission will not wait for technology to catch up. We founded this business to rapidly and securely deliver not only our software but also other mission-critical software and tools into the hands of warfighters and the U.S. government, even in the most highly regulated environments. We are honored to work with Knox to take this effort to the next stage and further expand the impact of this work."
Knox is known as the "largest and longest-operating federal custodial cloud," specializing in software deployments for U.S. defense and government clients and able to assist customers in completing FedRAMP authorization within 90 days. Meanwhile, Palantir has secured large contracts from the U.S. federal government.
In August 2025, Palantir signed a contract worth up to $10 billion with the U.S. Army, aiming to integrate the military’s software and data needs over the next decade by consolidating 75 scattered contracts into a single enterprise-level agreement. Additionally, Palantir has become a key technology partner for the U.S. Department of Defense’s flagship AI project "Project Maven." Besides its deep ties with the U.S. military, in April 2025 Palantir also won a $30 million contract from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to develop an operating system capable of identifying undocumented immigrants and tracking self-removal situations.
