According to a report by ZDNet Korea on the 26th, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have scheduled mass production and shipment of 8-layer HBM4, which will be supplied to NVIDIA, for around the second quarter of next year. A person familiar with the matter stated: "As far as I know, NVIDIA will equip the NVL rack scale based on Rubin Ultra with 8-layer HBM4 at the same time. Although 12-layer HBM4 will still be the main focus this year, the proportion of 8-layer HBM4 will increase significantly starting from the middle of next year."
