Zcash co-founder releases ZIP proposal to "terminate ZCG funding channel and instead support NSM"
Foresight News reports that Zcash co-founder Sean Bowe has released a ZIP draft titled "Terminate ZCG Funding Stream in Favor of NSM." The draft proposes ending the Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) automatic funding stream and redirecting its remaining 8% share of block rewards to the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM). ZCG currently holds approximately 91,452.98 ZEC (about $125 million), which is sufficient to continue funding activities without further automatic block reward allocations. Starting from the activation height, the 8% share will be directed to the NSM fund until the original funding stream expires, with ZCG’s existing assets and governance rules remaining unchanged.
