The Deutsche Bank analyst team led by Steve Powers released a report reiterating their "Buy" rating on Coca-Cola (KO.US), raising the target price from $98 to $101, representing an upside potential of approximately 3%.

According to Golden Ten Data APP, Deutsche Bank analyst Steve Powers's team has released a report reaffirming their “Buy” rating on The Coca-Cola Company (KO.US) and raising the target price from $98 to $101, representing approximately 3% upside potential. Coca-Cola closed at $92.7 on Monday, with a market capitalization of around $398.8 billion.

The research report indicates that Coca-Cola has surpassed the “high bar” for Q3 results. Both organic sales and EPS in Coca-Cola's Q3 report exceeded market expectations, but the stock closed down 1.6% on that day. Investors mainly have three concerns: recent organic sales performance, EPS headwinds for fiscal year 2027, and a relatively high valuation (about 26 times NTM EPS).

The company’s management has raised guidance for fiscal year 2026 to at least 5% organic growth and at least 11% EPS growth. However, the implicit low-end guidance for Q4 organic sales growth is weaker than market expectations, mainly reflecting shipment timing and normalization of per-case volume momentum. Management emphasized that the Q4 slowdown is largely due to calendar effects and possible bottler destocking — at the start of the year, bottlers held higher safety inventory due to geopolitical volatility and strong demand. This inventory is expected to normalize in Q4 (mainly in the Asia-Pacific region), and there is no structural change in system-wide inventory management.

Deutsche Bank believes the FY27 pressures are manageable and remains upbeat about system resilience. The bank believes the Q3 results have further reinforced its positive view of Coca-Cola’s organic sales momentum, EPS growth, and improvements in free cash flow conversion rate/ROIC, especially compared with multinational consumer goods peers. Despite offline pressures in FY27 such as cost inflation, exchange rates, CCBA (bottling business related), as well as interest and tax burdens, Deutsche Bank still expects that with healthy volume momentum, system pricing power, and cost reduction potential, the company will deliver another year of solid performance.

Deutsche Bank expects 5.2% organic sales growth in fiscal year 2027, with corresponding EPS of $3.60, up from the previous value of $3.54.
