BP denies discussion on split, maintains integrated oil and gas company strategy

BP CEO Meg O’Neill explicitly denied on Friday that there have ever been internal discussions within the company regarding a split. Earlier this week, media outlet Semafor cited sources saying that some BP board members supported splitting the company. O’Neill stated that her discussions with the board about the group’s strategic direction reaffirmed the necessity of maintaining a single, integrated oil and gas company.
