Sam Altman has returned to the board of OpenAI
On March 9th, according to TheInformation, the OpenAI board stated that an investigation into the brief dismissal of CEO Sam Altman in November last year showed that he was not at fault in the incident. OpenAI announced that Sam Altman will rejoin the board. OpenAI stated that an investigation conducted by WilmerHale law firm found that Sam Altman's actions did not warrant his removal as previously thought. Instead, WilmerHale found that Sam Altman was dismissed due to a "breakdown in trust between the former board and Mr. Sam Altman." The old board acted hastily without informing key stakeholders beforehand or conducting a comprehensive investigation.
