ETH sets record for largest single-day volatility ever
Matrixport posted on X platform that ETH had just set a new record for the largest single-day volatility in history, possibly due to news on May 20th that the SEC may approve an ETH ETF. Previously, the largest fluctuations in ETH were concentrated in May 2021, when DeFi trading volumes approached their peak and ETH staking was popular. The two significant fluctuations since 2024 have been mainly policy-driven (related to SEC and FOMC meetings).
