Rarimo announces the launch of RariMe app
Rarimo has announced the launch of the RariMe application, which allows users to generate passport zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) to verify their uniqueness without revealing their identity. Unlike Worldcoin, which uses globe scanning of the eyeball, Rarimo uses a smartphone to scan passports and verify users. The identification framework typically has third-party approval credentials, but ZK ensures that no personal data is shared when verifying identity. Kitty Horlick, director of Rarilabs, Rarimo's provider, said that just as decentralized applications (Dapps) can control certain things through human proof, they can now do the same with citizen identity or age proof, and only need to request these proofs.
