Japanese listed company Metaplanet has raised 66 million US dollars through equity subscription
According to reports, the Japanese listed company Metaplanet has completed its 11th round of equity subscription, raising a total of 10 billion yen (equivalent to 66 million US dollars), with Evo Fund subsequently acquiring 14.9% of the shares.
Metaplanet first announced an equity subscription on August 6, when Metaplanet's stock price was about 700 yen. It allowed shareholders to choose to purchase new shares at a discounted price of 555 yen per share. In May, Metaplanet adopted Bitcoin as a reserve asset in order to hedge against fluctuations in the yen. According to data from bitcointreasuries.net, the company currently holds 861.4 BTC and its stock price has risen by 642% so far this year.
