Forbes reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on the X platform, stating that in the 32 states with Senate elections, only eight Senate candidates had a higher approval rating than Trump. One of them is John E Deaton, who ranked fourth nationwide with an excess performance of 5.2%. Those ahead of him are all incumbents, except for two-term governor Larry Hogan, who ran for a vacant seat and spent $14 million in the campaign.
