Statistics: The number of Bitcoin wallets holding at least $100 is approaching an all-time high
On-chain data shows that the number of wallets holding at least $100 in Bitcoin is approaching a historic high. According to CEX's data, the number of wallet addresses holding $100 or more in Bitcoin surged from 24 million in January 2024 to nearly 30 million in 2025, an increase of 25% year-on-year. Historically, surges in the number of wallets holding $100 or more occurred during bull markets, such as at the end of 2017 and in 2021. A similar surge was observed mid-2024, possibly due to Bitcoin breaking through the milestone of $100000.
