Data: The US Bitcoin spot ETF has seen capital outflows for eight consecutive days, with a total of 3.2 billion USD flowing out

According to The Block, in the past eight days, with a broader sell-off of cryptocurrencies and stocks, there has been a net outflow of $3.2 billion from US spot Bitcoin ETFs. SoSoValue data shows that Bitcoin ETFs have only recorded four days of net inflows so far this month, resulting in a monthly net outflow reaching $3.65 billion. The eight-day continuous net outflow is on par with the record set in August 2024, making it the longest period of net outflows since the establishment of Bitcoin funds.

On Tuesday, spot Bitcoin ETF reported a record high net outflow amounting to $1.14 billion. Meanwhile, BlackRock's IBIT - the largest Bitcoin ETF by assets under management - witnessed its biggest ever daily withdrawal at $418 million on Wednesday. However, compared to previous days' withdrawals, Thursday's latest figure was relatively mild at $275.8 million; IBIT accounted for most of yesterday's withdrawals at $189 million while Bitwise’s BITB was the only fund reporting an inflow totaling $17.6 million.

With these recent withdrawals taken into account, total cumulative inflows into twelve bitcoin funds now stand at their lowest level since January 14th – around $36.85 billion – representing about 5.7% of bitcoin’s market cap which stands at approximately $94.3 billion overall value held by these ETFs . At the same time Ethereum Spot ETF also saw an outflow worth about $71 million on Thursday bringing its six-day total to $315 million dollars.
