US commerce secretary: stick to 2 April tariff plan, some reciprocal tariffs to take immediate effect
On 5 March, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick said, ‘We are sticking to our tariff plan for 2 April, with some reciprocal tariffs coming into effect immediately and some reciprocal tariffs coming into effect a few months later,’ Golden Ten reported. Assessments will end on 2 April, and once the reciprocal tariffs are in place, they will continue.’
