White House Official: The United States will begin auditing existing cryptocurrency holdings
A senior White House official stated before today's cryptocurrency summit that the first step after establishing Bitcoin strategic reserves and other digital asset reserves in the United States would be to audit the amount of cryptocurrencies held by the government. The person said that after the closure of cryptocurrency exchange "Silk Road", the US once had about 400,000 Bitcoins, about half of which have been sold.
