Survey: Approximately 21% of Americans own cryptocurrency, of which 76% say they have benefited from it
PANews reported on April 12th, according to Cryptoslate, a survey conducted by Harris Poll found that currently about 55 million (21% of the total population) American adults own cryptocurrency, and 76% of holders believe their experience with digital assets has had a positive impact on them personally.
The survey shows that the gender gap is narrowing, with women making up 31% of cryptocurrency holders and men accounting for 67%. The number of cryptocurrency holders at all income levels has increased, with households earning less than $75,000 per year currently accounting for 26% of all crypto-holding households. The report emphasizes that lower entry barriers help low-income groups adopt cryptocurrencies.
This poll surveyed 53,805 American adults to determine a representative sample of 10,000 current cryptocurrency holders. This is the largest scale survey so far.
