The new SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated at the third cryptocurrency roundtable: "The focus of today's roundtable discussion is on the challenges faced by SEC registrants when attempting to securely custody crypto assets for clients in accordance with federal securities laws. Should the custody rules under the Securities Act, the Investment Advisers Act, or the Investment Company Act be amended to accommodate the unique brokerage activities related to crypto assets, making it feasible for market participants, or is a new framework for cryptocurrency brokers needed?"
