PANews reported on May 12 that according to data from the Ministry of Finance of El Salvador, the country has increased its holdings by 8 bitcoins in the past 7 days, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 6,174.18, with a total value of $641.5 million.

Earlier reports indicated that El Salvador stated it would continue to purchase bitcoin even after reaching an agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
