Sources: Unity Android vulnerability may lead to players' crypto wallets being stolen
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing two anonymous sources, the Unity game platform is quietly rolling out a fix for a vulnerability that allows third-party code to run in Android-based mobile games, which could potentially target mobile crypto wallets. The sources stated that the affected projects date back to 2017, and added that the vulnerability mainly impacts Android systems, but Windows, macOS, and Linux systems are also affected to varying degrees. According to the sources, Unity has begun privately distributing the fix and standalone patch tools to selected partners, but public guidance is not expected to be released until next Monday or Tuesday.
