AMD Unveils Next-Generation AI Processors at CES 2026

During her keynote address at CES 2026, AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su emphasized the company's vision of making artificial intelligence accessible to all through advanced computing technology.

In line with this commitment, AMD introduced a fresh lineup of AI-focused processors, reflecting the company's belief that AI-enabled personal computers represent the future of technology.

Introducing the Ryzen AI 400 Series

At this year's CES event, AMD showcased the Ryzen AI 400 Series processor, the latest evolution in its AI-driven PC chip family. According to AMD, these new chips deliver multitasking speeds up to 1.3 times faster than rival products and offer a 1.7 times boost in content creation performance.

The Ryzen AI 400 Series is equipped with 12 CPU cores and 24 threads, providing robust parallel processing capabilities for demanding tasks.

This release builds upon the foundation set by the Ryzen AI 300 Series, which debuted in 2024. AMD has been developing its Ryzen processor line since 2017.

Expanding AI PC Platforms

Rahul Tikoo, AMD’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Client Business, shared that the company now supports over 250 AI PC platforms—a figure that has doubled compared to the previous year.

“Looking ahead, AI will become an integral part of every layer of personal computing,” Tikoo remarked. “Our AI-powered PCs and devices are set to revolutionize the way we work, play, create, and interact.”
