According to Odaily, three Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives have sent a letter to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins, requesting an explanation for the SEC's suspension of the enforcement case against TRON founder Justin Sun. Representatives Maxine Waters, Brad Sherman, and Sean Casten stated that the prolonged suspension of the case may undermine investors' confidence in the independence and credibility of regulatory agencies.

In the letter, the representatives pointed out that the SEC has recently initiated or advanced the suspension or dismissal of several crypto-related enforcement cases, including those involving certain exchanges, and questioned the agency's enforcement priorities and effectiveness. Regarding the Justin Sun case, the SEC requested the court to stay the lawsuit in February this year to seek potential solutions, and this has now lasted for about 11 months.

The representatives also mentioned Justin Sun's token transactions with World Liberty Financial, demanding that the SEC preserve and provide all documents and communications related to the suspension of the case. The SEC has not yet issued a public response to the above inquiries. (Cointelegraph)
