Four new accounts place $8,100 bets on Judy Shelton as the next Federal Reserve Chair
According to monitoring, in the prediction market Polymarket, four new accounts have placed or increased bets totaling $8.1k on "Judy Shelton as the next Federal Reserve Chair" in the past three days. Among them, two accounts increased their existing positions, and the four accounts have collectively bet $53.7k on this outcome.
On February 20, Trump publicly discussed his nominee for the new Federal Reserve Chair, reiterating his criticism of the Fed's monetary policy and stating that interest rates "should drop significantly." He cited nominee Kevin Warsh as the reason, implying that interest rates would be notably reduced under new leadership, while criticizing the current chair as "very incompetent" for maintaining a high interest rate policy.
The formal nomination process for Kevin Warsh should have already begun. Notably, the trading volume for Judy Shelton on Polymarket has reached twice that of Kevin Warsh.
