VanEck CEO: Bitcoin is bottoming out, showing positive signs of recovery
BlockBeats news, on March 3, Jan Van Eck, CEO of investment management company VanEck, stated in an interview with CNBC, "Today the crypto market rebounded, but it is still down more than 50% from the peak last October. Regarding bitcoin, we know two things: the total supply is limited to 21 million coins; and the halving cycle, where every four years the block rewards for bitcoin miners are halved. Bitcoin has an investment cycle: three consecutive years of growth, and the fourth year usually sees a significant decline. 2026 is exactly that fourth year, so we are currently in a bear market for cryptocurrencies, more precisely for bitcoin. Therefore, I think there is no need to overcomplicate things. At present, I believe we are forming a bottom, which is also a very good sign of recovery."
