The total holdings of US Treasuries by multiple countries have risen to $9.3 trillion, marking the second-highest level in history.

Jinse Finance reported that on March 26, according to data disclosed by Kobeissi Letter, holdings of US Treasury bonds by various countries surged by $3.48 billion in January, reaching $9.3 trillion, the second highest record in history. Japan, as the largest foreign holder, purchased $3.98 billion worth of US Treasuries, bringing its total holdings to $1.2 trillion, the highest level since July 2022. The UK is the second largest holder of US Treasuries globally, with its holdings increasing by $2.93 billion to $895.3 billion, a record high and the third highest in history. The UK is the third largest holder of US Treasuries globally, with its holdings increasing by $1.09 billion to $694.4 billion, the highest level since September last year. Meanwhile, EU countries together increased their holdings by $800 million, reaching $2.1 trillion.
